Writing your story. Practical tips for writing real lives and fiction

Do you have a tale to tell? Stories from your own life or a friend or relative. Or an idea for a thriller, romance or historical novel.
Would you like to know how to bring those stories to life?
Jacqui Currie MA, is a Cockermouth-based Lecturer in Creative Writing for the Open University with her own writing businesswww.tellingyourtale.co.uk. Jacqui will run a series of classes full of practical tips and techniques to help you find a place to begin your story, or to shape what you have already started.

The classes will help you to write either fact or fiction. They will also complement The Kirkgate’s In My Shoes project which aims to share and celebrate West Cumbria’s diverse culture and heritage. The classes will help anyone who is unearthing local and personal history to record it for generations to come.
Classes will be held weekly running from 10am to 12 starting from Thursday 31st October 2024 The classes will be structured in a block of five sessions costing £80 for the block.
Class dates- 31/10, 07/11, 14/11, 21/11, 05/12 (no session on 28th November)
