Séamus Óg: Folk Workshop and Evening Performance Séamus Ógis a musician from Belfast bringing a mix of workshops and live music on the road with his trio. Having been featured on BBC and RTÉ, and having supported and shared the stage with many leading folk artists, he brings a wealth of experience to this touring programme. The evening starts with an open workshop where everyone is welcome. Participants can bring whatever instrument they play and get stuck into some traditional tunes together. Time will be spent learning a song in Irish, and maybe a bit of Welsh too, focusing on the feeling of singing as one group. Later in the evening, the trio takes the stage for a set that blends original songwriting with storytelling and a bit of room for improvisation. It’s about more than just a gig; it’s a chance to connect through the music, hear the stories behind the songs, and see where the sound takes the audience on the night.
