Join Heritage Group volunteer Eloise on a historical walk of the town and discover stories of local life through the eyes of past residents. What links the postal service and a dromedary camel? What part did Cockermouth play in the suffragette movement? What was it like for local inhabitants of the workhouse? And what could you see at the 1914 hiring fair?

All will be revealed on this unorthodox tour of town landmarks!

The walk will start and end at the Kirkgate Centre, Kirkgate, CA13 9PJ and will last roughly 1.5 hours.
