Hello! I’m Nichola, and I’m delighted to be back at The Kirkgate, this time as a Trustee. A proud West Cumbrian, I’ve spent over 25 years of my career involved in programs that create a positive impact for our local communities.
With a background in Operational Management, I specialise in managing funding and improving systems. I previously served as the Business & Finance Manager for The Kirkgate (2016–2018), focusing on the financial management of the centre, delivering new funding streams, and developing community engagement activities. I’m passionate about education, arts and culture and ensuring our arts and heritage programmes remain sustainable and accessible to everyone.
Aside from three years as a student in Staffordshire and a short stint living and working in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, I’ve lived and worked in West Cumbria my whole life. Now I’m not at my desk so much, I’m enjoying more time walking the dog, getting back into fitness, and I’m always planning the next trip away somewhere with my family or friends.
