Jocelyn started working at the Kirkgate in 2009. Prior to this she had been a volunteer, first in the very early days serving interval coffee and later working in the box office. She grew up in Cockermouth and attended school at All Saints (now Kirkgate) – she is pleased that at least we now have indoor toilets! Her work background is in HR in the retail sector followed by periods working as a teaching assistant in a primary school and an administrator in an adult education centre. Cockermouth is very fortunate to have an arts facility like the Kirkgate and Jocelyn thinks that it’s good to be part of what Kirkgate delivers both in the town and to the wider West Cumbrian community through Arts Out West.
