Yoko Pwno take the best of Scottish folk music, strap it to a rocket, and send it into space.

The band mixes the party atmosphere of dance music with the joy of a folk session, building a reputation through jaw-dropping live performances, eclectic productions, and a fun, chaotic vibe.

Helen, Lewis, Lissa, Calum, Dan, Gary, and Sam are on a mission to blow audiences away with a fusion of self-penned folk tunes, songs, and the kind of banging, wonky dance beats that power Edinburgh’s underground club scene.

Their live shows are wild mix of energy and skill, enthralling audiences from Orkney to the Alps. Since 2019, Yoko Pwno have released two albums, toured across the UK, and begun making forays into Europe.

Recent highlights include major events such as the 2025 edition of Germany’s Rudolstadt Festival, a trip to the Alps to play Bolzano’s Volxfest/a, and countless festival crowds dancing into the night.
