Crafts@Kirkgate: Flower Pressing

Come along for a lovely afternoon learning about this gentle activity which has been practised for hundreds of years, but which still has relevance today, being a relaxing, mindful and inexpensive hobby with low environmental impact.

You will learn techniques for successful flower pressing as well as producing your own bookmark and framed picture from a range of existing pressed flowers.

All equipment and materials will be supplied but please bring along an old book suitable for pressing flowers between the leaves. Picture frames will be supplied but you are welcome to bring along your own frame if you prefer.

Refreshments provided.
