Join award-winning artist Celia Burbush for a relaxing and playful workshop designed to remind you of how wonderfully rewarding the daily craft of drawing can be. Moving from imaginative exercises aimed to unleash a breadth of marks and expression, to more traditional academy skills that underpin all visual art, we will complete the day with the meditative practice of working from a clothed life model. Get ready for fun and relaxation, fuelled by the humble pencil! As with all of Celia’s workshops, the day will be gone in a flash and you’ll be surprised what you can achieve! Step by step all the way, this workshop will suit beginners upwards.

The day, 9.30am-4.30pm, will consist of a series of skill sessions ranging from from 5 minutes to 1 hour in length, using pencil, graphite and charcoal, drawing attention to both the formal aspects of reconstructing a 3-dimensional object on a piece of paper as well as aspects of our imagination, memory and expression that we bring to our drawing.

There will be a charge of £4 on the day, for materials, including a pencil and rubber for you to take away at the end.

Breaks at 10am for 30 mins, then at 12noon for 45 mins.

Coffee/tea and a light lunch provided.

Please email celiaburbush@outlook.com or ring her on 07799627804 if you have any questions regarding the day.
