POVO is a northwest-based, five-piece that combines the jazz-funk fusion of the 1970s and 80s with an improvisational ethos derived from today’s latest sounds.

The result is an irresistible electric groove that’s reminiscent of the bands musical roots—artists like Weather Report, Herbie Hancock, Grover Washington, and the Yellowjackets—but with a unique feel that remains new and fresh.

Built on a solid bass and drum vibe, the band layers keyboards, guitar and sax to produce a sound that is as visceral as it is cerebral.
