Can you help us raise money for the Kirkgate Centre?
During the pandemic much has been developing within the Kirkgate to keep the centre up to date and serving the community’s needs. We have had an anonymous donation which has paid for half of the building to be painted, finally saying good bye to our glossy pinky/purple!
We are now focusing on raising funds to have a kitchen fitted down stairs. This would make it easier for us to host events as there will be easier access to kitchen facilities.
To do this we are organising a 24 hour readathon starting 10.30am on the 2nd of July and finishing 10.30am on the 3rd July 2022. Extracts from Dorothy Wordsworth’s poetry and diary will be read continuously by 8 teams of 4 people. If you would love to join in and help us, contact Chloe with confirmation of a team.
