Quickbeam and The Celandines come together for a special one-off evening of music at this double-headliner gig.

Quickbeam is made up of four talented vocalists and musicians from Cumbria: Abigail Driver, Alison Scott, Arwen Heaton and Jessie McMeekin. Their repertoire features a blend of new arrangements of traditional and contemporary folk songs, as well as inventive original pieces, drawing inspiration from blues, gospel, folk and classical genres. Audiences are captivated by their haunting harmonies, powerful new compositions and uplifting anthems, all delivered with quirky humour and an authentic, approachable style. They promise new, never heard before songs especially for this evening.

The Celandines bring original music inspired by a deep connection to wild Cumbria, to quiet pockets of nature in daily life, and to our shared human experience. Abigail Driver and Mark Gormley write uniquely magical songs that inspire and awaken the heart of the listener. Drawing on an eclectic melting pot of musical influences, they are truly ‘Very Celandine’ with a style all their own. Emerging in 2024 from an active and creative community, the group released their EP “Rainbow Chords & Elephant Arcs” in 2025. Demonstrating a commitment to autonomy and independent artistry, the EP was self-produced and recorded with limited equipment. The Celandines have since become a family of four, with two deeply creative and talented musicians joining the band. Pete Garnett (Keys/Accordion) & Jessie Binns (Cello, Vox).

With their breakout performances at Cumberlandia Festival in July 2025 and Moniaive Festival in May 2026 going down a storm, their reputation continues to grow along the underground mycelial network that is the Cumbrian music scene.
